AT&T Inc.plans to update its U-verse home Internet plans to include an unlimited data option.
The update, set to roll out May 23, will allow customers withU-verse home Internet service to add unlimited data for $30 more a month, the companysaid March 29. Customers who have U-verse home Internet and DIRECTV or U-verse TVservice will automatically receive unlimited data at no charge, so long as the servicesare on a single bill.
Other updates include an automatic increase in monthly data allowancesat no charge and the ability to check current usage online. Monthly data allowanceswill range from 300 GB to 1 TB, depending on what tier customers are on. Averagehome Internet customers use a little more than 100 GB of data per month.
