John Maples was named president and CEO of Delta Dental of Illinois, effective Oct. 8.

Maples will also be president and CEO of Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation and Delta Dental of Illinois' subsidiary companies. He succeeds Bernie Glossy, who is retiring after eight years in the role.

Most recently, Maples was chief customer officer for Campbell Snacks.
