St-Georges Platinum & Base Metals forming Canada-focused subsidiary

St-Georges Platinum & Base Metals Ltd. is incorporating a new Canada-focused subsidiary to hold certain assets, including the early stage Isoukustouc nickel-copper-cobalt project in Quebec.

Chairman Mark Billings will be appointed president of the new unit, according to an Oct. 5 release.

St-Georges also reported the receipt of material from Iconic Minerals Ltd.'s Bonnie Claire sedimentary lithium project.

The two companies entered an agreement in August, with St-Georges to develop extraction technology for Iconic's early stage project in Nevada.

The company will undertake metallurgical testing on the material to prepare a multitonne larger bulk test in a pilot-plant environment later this year.
