Pakistan Services Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to 372.0 million rupees, a rise of 37.9% from 269.8 million rupees in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 17.8% from 13.8% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 7.2% year over year to 2.09 billion rupees from 1.95 billion rupees, and total operating expenses climbed 6.7% year over year to 1.64 billion rupees from 1.53 billion rupees.
Reported net income came to 490.8 million rupees, compared with 343.4 million rupees in the prior-year period.
As of Feb. 24, US$1 was equivalent to 101.83 Pakistani rupees.
