Nuclear update: Total output supported by 2 returning reactors

Total U.S. nuclear plant availability regained someground early Sept. 27 as it rose to 88.13%, which is above the 87.21% on Sept.26 but still below the 88.78% reported on the same day in 2015.

Providing total U.S. production with a nudge forwardwas increased output at TennesseeValley Authority's Watts Bar 2 in Tennessee. The unit was operatingat 70% early Sept. 27, climbing from 25% on Sept. 26. In addition, 's Perry 1 inOhio saw output rise from 67% on Sept. 26 to 80% early Sept. 27.
