Canadian Solar appoints new director, strategic adviser to board

Canadian Solar Inc. increased the size of its board to six members with the addition of Lauren Templeton as an independent director.

The company also appointed Karl Olsoni as strategic adviser to its board. Both appointments are effective Jan. 1.

Templeton is the founder and president of Templeton & Phillips Capital Management LLC, a global investing boutique in Chattanooga, Tenn. She is also an independent director and member of the audit committee of Fairfax Financial Holdings Ltd.

Olsoni is currently an operating partner with Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners LLC, an infrastructure fund manager investing in clean energy infrastructure in the U.S., the U.K. and Australia. He is also a partner with the kRoad group of companies which invest in battery storage, waste transformation and e-mobility.
