Royal Bank of Canada issues $1B of senior notes

Royal Bank of Canada issued a total of $1 billion of senior floating-rate notes, due Jan. 10, 2019.

According to a Form 6-K filed Jan. 18, Sullivan & Cromwell LLP acted as special U.S. federal taxation counsel to the company in connection with the issuance and delivery of the securities, while Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP acted as Canadian counsel to the company.
