Innergex energizes 150-MW wind farm in Quebec

Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. has energized the 150-MW Mesgi'g Ugju's'n wind farm in in Gaspésie, Quebec, according to a Dec. 29 release.

The project is estimated to produce an average 562,500 MWh annually. It will sell power to Hydro-Québec under a 20-year fixed-price power purchase agreement, which provides for an annual adjustment to the selling price based on a portion of the Consumer Price Index.

The facility is expected to generate annual revenues of about C$59.6 million and adjusted EBITDA of C$52.5 million in its first full year of operation, the company said.

Innergex was in charge of the management of the construction and will be responsible for the operation of the wind farm, which is jointly owned by the three Mi'gmaq communities of Quebec and Innergex.
