The board of Banco Central de Chile on Feb. 1 unanimously decided to maintain its benchmark interest rate steady at 2.5%.
The central bank said inflation "brought no big surprises," and has remained around 2% annually for both headline and core CPI inflation.
In a statement, the central bank board said it would pay "special attention to any signs of a delay in the convergence of inflation that might warrant an additional monetary impulse," and would continue to seek its target of meeting its 3% inflation target within a two-year period.
