Heian Ceremony Service Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 was ¥19.37 per share, an increase of 38.0% from ¥14.04 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥254.4 million, an increase of 38.0% from ¥184.4 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 11.3% from 8.4% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose year over year to ¥2.26 billion from ¥2.19 billion, and total operating expenses decreased year over year to ¥1.88 billion from ¥1.92 billion.
Reported net income increased 40.1% on an annual basis to ¥248.0 million, or ¥18.88 per share, from ¥177.0 million, or ¥13.48 per share.
