Moody's revises outlook on Lithuania to positive

Moody's affirmed the A3 long-term issuer and senior unsecured ratings, (P)A3 senior unsecured medium term note program rating and (P)P-2 domestic currency short-term rating of Lithuania.

The outlook was changed to positive from stable due to the the continued enhancement of the country's fiscal strength, aided by gradually declining government debt relative to GDP, improving debt affordability and a decrease of ageing-related fiscal risks, the rating agency said.

The outlook revision takes into account the improving prospects for Lithuania's medium to long-term growth potential, backed by significant government structural reform efforts and shifting migration trends that support the economy's labor supply.
