North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in on May 26 met for the second time in a month to discuss peace commitments and the potential summit between North Korea and the U.S., The Associated Press reported the same day.
Moon will announce the outcome of the two-hour surprise summit with Kim on May 27, according to AP, citing South Korea's presidential office.
The meeting took place at a border truce village, hours after South Korea expressed relief over revived talks for a summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and Kim, the report noted.
Trump on May 24 called off his planned June 12 summit with Kim, but said the next day that it might still happen. "We are having very productive talks with North Korea about reinstating the Summit which, if it does happen, will likely remain in Singapore on the same date," Trump tweeted, adding that it will be extended, if necessary.
