Citizens Inc. appointed Christopher Claus and J.D. Davis Jr. to its board.

Claus, a former executive at United Services Automobile Association, also serves as lead director at TrueCar Inc., a Santa Monica, Calif.-based digital automotive marketplace. Davis, meanwhile, has spent more than four decades at National Farm Life Insurance Co., serving as president, CEO and chairman of its board.
