MS Amlin is acquiring a minority strategic stake in managing general agent Envelop Risk, to boost the strategic relationship between the two firms, the companies said.

MS Amlin also said James Few, its global managing director of reinsurance, has been appointed to the board of Envelop. MS Amlin in 2018 partnered with London-based Envelop Risk to develop and launch a cyber reinsurance portfolio, underwriting for which commenced in November 2018.

MS Amlin AG is a wholly owned subsidiary of MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings Inc.
