ALLETE Clean Energy to refurbish 50-MW wind farm in Oregon

ALLETE Clean Energy plans to refurbish its 50-MW Condon Wind Project in Gilliam County, Ore., to extend the operating life of the facility and requalify the site for federal production tax credits.

The refurbishment would enable the project to recontract after its existing power sales agreement with Bonneville Power Administration expires in late 2022. The project is expected to be completed in 2019.

In 2017, the ALLETE Inc. subsidiary announced plans to refurbish 385 turbines at the Lake Benton I, Storm Lake I and Storm Lake II wind facilities.
