VELUX to buy JET Group from Egeria

VELUX A/S agreed to acquire European roof light systems manufacturer JET Group Holding BV from Dutch private equity firm Egeria BV.

JET Group manufactures light domes and continuous roof lights for commercial applications. VELUX, which manufactures residential skylights, said the acquisition would help it grow in the nonresidential market, which it entered in 2012 with its VELUX Modular Skylight system. JET products will eventually be sold under the VELUX brand.

VELUX is owned by VKR Holding A/S, a limited company headquartered in Denmark and owned by nonprofit, charitable foundations and family.

German and Austrian authorities must approve the transaction.

EY Corporate Finance and Dentons assisted VELUX in the deal, and Houlihan Lokey and Allen & Overy served as advisers to Egeria.
