Korea Exchange Inc. signed a memorandum of understanding with Euronext NV on index-related long-term business cooperation, Yonhap News Agency reported Feb. 23.
The agreement, signed Feb. 22, covers matters including joint research and development, marketing, listing and trading, as well as the sharing of regulation and compliance information.
Under the MOU, the two exchange operators will promote the Euronext listing of exchange-traded notes based on the Korea-Taiwan IT Premier Index.
They will also work together in 2018 on compliance issues related to the European Union's regulation on financial benchmark indices.
