California-based Community West Bancshares raises dividend

Community West Bancshares'sboard increased the company's quarterly cash dividend to 3.5 cents per share.

The dividend is payable May 31 to common shareholders of recordas of May 12. According to SNL data, theprevious dividend was 3 cents pershare.

The Goleta, Calif.-based company April 29 reported first-quarternet income available to common shareholders of $1.3 million, or 15 cents per share,compared to $1.6 million, or 19 cents per share, in the year-earlier quarter.
