The VC Beat: Canva gets US$70M; Ivalua secures $60M

This feature rounds up venture capital news and highlights larger deal coverage already published.

* Australian graphic design platform Canva Inc. obtained about US$70 million in its latest funding round with participation from General Catalyst Partners and Bond together with existing investors Felicis Ventures and Blackbird, TechCrunch reported. Canva garnered approximately US$31.3 million in growth financing in January 2018.

* Cloud-based spend management platform Ivalua Inc. secured $60 million in growth capital from investors including newcomer Tiger Global Management LLC and a fund managed by Ardian — Ardian Croissance FPCI, also known as Ardian Growth. Ivalua raised $70.0 million in a series B round in April 2017.

* Iconiq Capital LLC led a $60 million series C financing round for revenue intelligence system provider People.ai. Andreessen Horowitz LLC, Lightspeed Venture Partners, GGV Capital and Y Combinator also joined the round. People.ai received $30.0 million in a series B round in October 2018.

* A $25 million series B funding round for Natural Partners Fullscript, a nutraceutical prescribing platform for healthcare practitioners, was led by Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors LP.

* Veego, an Israel-based artificial intelligence-based malfunction prevention startup, wrapped up its seed funding with commitments from Robert Bosch Venture Capital GmbH, State of Mind Ventures and North First Ventures.
