Helaba shuffles managing board

Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen Girozentrale, also known as Helaba, named Hans-Dieter Kemler to its managing board and said he will be responsible for the capital markets, treasury and asset management divisions.

Subject to regulatory approval, Kemler will replace Rainer Krick, who stepped down July 31 for health reasons. Kemler is a management board member and head of financial markets at Commerzbank AG unit mBank SA.

Helaba also said Jürgen Fenk will step down from the managing board when his term expires Sept. 30, 2017, to explore new avenues in real estate. Fenk was responsible for real estate lending and management divisions.

The bank's supervisory board also confirmed Chief Risk Officer Thomas Gross' to serve a second term as a member and vice chairman of the managing board. He has served on the board since 2012 and became vice chairman in 2015.
