Vietnamese asset manager raises stake in Viet Capital Securities

Dragon Capital Group raised its stake in Viet Capital Securities JSC to 9.06%, DealStreetAsia reported June 7, citing a stock exchange disclosure.

The Vietnamese asset manager bought 1 million shares of the securities company, the news outlet reported, adding that the asset manager spent about 85.2 billion dong to boost its stake. The outlet did not say how much Dragon Capital held before the purchase.

Dragon Capital held 0.29% of Viet Capital Securities' outstanding shares, while affiliate Dragon Capital Investment Management Ltd. and Dragon Capital Management (HK) Ltd. held 2.28% and 0.68%, respectively, as of April 19, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence data.

As of June 7, US$1 was equivalent to 22,805 Vietnamese dong.
