Octopus Energy acquires 18-MW wind farm in France

Octopus Energy Investments acquired the 18-MW Roche Quatre Rivières wind farm in France from developer Renewable Energy Systems Ltd. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The deal marks the expansion of Octopus Energy's existing French renewable energy portfolio from solar photovoltaic into onshore wind. The company expects additional acquisitions soon, according to a May 20 news release.

RES is handling construction of the project, which is expected to enter operations by late 2019.

Octopus Energy hired Linklaters as legal adviser, Everoze as technical adviser, PWC as tax and accounting adviser, and Price Forbes as insurance adviser.
