Portfolio manager of Pine River Capital fund steps down

Steven Kuhn is leaving Pine River Capital Management LP to focus onphilanthropy, he told Bloomberg in an interview.

Kuhn is portfolio manager of the Pine River Ultra Fund and co-portfoliomanager of the Pine River Fixed Income Fund, according to the company's website.

Kuhn is reducing his role at the company and offered otherpartners at Pine River Capital to transfer his economic interest in the companyto Pine River Foundation, Bloomberg News reported April 5. The Pine River UltraFund was closed in March and the Pine River Fixed Income Fund was transitionedto remaining managers Jiayi Chen, Colin Teichholtz and Brendan McAllister.

Pine River Capital expects Kuhn to complete his exit fromthe company in the near term, according to the report.
