Li & Fung partners with Softwear Automation to accelerate digital manufacturing

Global supply chain manager Li & Fung Ltd. said May 8 that it has entered into a strategic agreement with U.S. automation company SoftWear Automation, Inc. to build a complete digital manufacturing supply chain.

Under the partnership, both companies will focus on the supply chain of t-shirts, with the possibility of expanding to other product categories, Li & Fung said in a news release.

Softwear's automated solution for producing t-shirts, Sewbot Workline, is fully autonomous and requires a single operator. It can produce one complete t-shirt every 22 seconds.
