PUCO accepts electric supply auction results for DP&L

The Ohio Public Utilities Commission on March 14 accepted the results of the wholesale auction conducted by Dayton Power and Light Co. to determine its default generation rates through May 2021.

The auction resulted in four winning bids for two-year products with an average clearing price of $48.66 per MWh for the delivery period of June 1, 2018, to May 31, 2020, and two winning bids for the three-year product with an average clearing price of $46.34 per MWh for the delivery period of June 1, 2018, to May 31, 2021.

The results will be blended with previous and future auctions to establish a price-to-compare for the AES Corp. utility's customers during the delivery periods, according to a news release by the commission.
