Seihyo fiscal Q3 loss narrows YOY

Seihyo Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Nov. 30, 2015, was a loss of ¥39.63 per share, compared with a loss of ¥50.28 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥16.3 million, compared with a loss of ¥20.6 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to negative 2.7% from negative 3.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 9.7% year over year to ¥599.0 million from ¥546.0 million, and total operating expenses climbed 9.4% year over year to ¥639.0 million from ¥584.0 million.

Reported net income came to a loss of ¥20.0 million, or a loss of ¥48.78 per share, compared to a loss of ¥31.0 million, or a loss of ¥75.57 per share, in the year-earlier period.
