DEVK board member leaves due to 'differences in opinion'

DEVK Deutsche Eisenbahn Versicherung Sach- und HUK-Versicherungsverein AG relieved board member Veronika Simons of her duties Dec. 8 due to "differences in opinion," the German insurer said Dec. 16.

Simons had been responsible for segments including life insurance, actuarial services and property insurance, all of which will be temporarily headed up by CEO Gottfried Rüßmann. She had also led pension fund DEVK Pensionsfonds-AG, which will now be headed up by Birgit Großmann, who was named as a deputy board member.
