Philippine, Thailand central banks ink MOU on banking supervision

Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and the Bank of Thailand signed a memorandum of understanding on banking supervision.

The MOU would serve as a foundation for effective supervision of banks operating in Thailand and the Philippines, according to a Dec. 17 release.

The central banks will also encourage greater information exchange and cooperation in licensing, onsite examinations and crisis management.
