Algonquin Power to buy remaining stake in 200-MW Minn. wind project

plans to acquire theremaining 50% stake in the 200-MW Odellwind project in Minnesota from an EnelGreen Power North America subsidiary.

Odell is inCottonwood, Jackson, Martin and Watonwan counties and is expected to achieve commercialoperation by the end of July. It will sell power to subsidiaryunder a 20-year contract.

FERC has beenasked to approve the transaction by Sept. 6. (EC16-155)

Enel Green Poweris a subsidiary of Enel SpA,while Algonquin Power is a subsidiary of AlgonquinPower & Utilities Corp.
