Mexico's Banco Compartamos issues notes worth 2.5B pesos

's subsidiaryBanco Compartamos SA Institución deBanca Múltiple on Oct. 6 issued notes worth 2.5 billion Mexican pesos,Gentera said in a filing with Mexican stock exchange, BMV.

The bankissued 500 million pesos worth of 3-year COMPART 16 notes at an interest rate ofMexico's 28-day interbank equilibrium interest rate, or TIIE, plus 47 basis points.It also issued 2 billion pesos worth of 7-year COMPART 16-2 notes at a fixed interestrate of 7.5%.

Totaldemand for the notes reached 3.3x the amount offered, Gentera said.

As of Oct. 6, US$1 was worth 19.25Mexican pesos.
