Casio Computer Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 was ¥25.41 per share, an increase of 24.4% from ¥20.42 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥6.77 billion, an increase of 23.3% from ¥5.49 billion in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 7.3% from 6.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew on an annual basis to ¥93.34 billion from ¥89.68 billion, and total operating expenses rose on an annual basis to ¥82.60 billion from ¥80.44 billion.
Reported net income increased 55.9% year over year to ¥8.74 billion, or ¥32.82 per share, from ¥5.61 billion, or ¥20.85 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥89.09 per share, an increase of 49.2% from ¥59.71 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥23.81 billion, a gain of 48.3% from ¥16.06 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue increased 5.2% on an annual basis to ¥338.39 billion from ¥321.76 billion, and total operating expenses increased year over year to ¥301.63 billion from ¥295.19 billion.
The company said reported net income grew 65.1% on an annual basis to ¥26.40 billion, or ¥98.77 per share, in the full year, from ¥15.99 billion, or ¥59.45 per share.
