Clover Partners cuts SI Financial stake

Johnny Guerry, Clover Partners LP, and related investment vehicles have cut their beneficially owned SI Financial Group Inc. stake to 2.6%.

They had owned 6.2% of the Willimantic, Conn.-based company in May.

The holdings represent an aggregate 312,483 shares. The investors had transferred out, in kind, 527,977 of their held shares Oct. 2.

Guerry's group has significantly reduced its interest in another company — Westfield, Mass.-based Western New England Bancorp. The cut prompted Compass Point analyst Laurie Havener Hunsicker to "believe [Western New England] is no longer in play as an acquisition candidate" and to downgrade its stock rating.
