Real Goods Solar CFO resigns

Real Goods Solar Inc. announced that due to health reasons, Alan Fine is resigning as CFO, chief administrative officer, principal accounting officer and treasurer of the company, effective Jan. 17.

His departure is not a result of any issue with the company's accounting, financial reporting or internal control over financial reporting, nor it is a result of his performance while at the company, Real Goods said in a Form 8-K filing dated Jan. 10.

The company appointed Richard Barich to succeed Fine. Barich has performed financial and accounting services for Real Goods Solar as an independent contractor since October 2019.

Barich, among other roles, previously served as corporate controller for International Car Wash Group Inc., a multiunit retailer with 150 corporate-owned car wash sites in the U.S. and over 900 sites worldwide.
