Victory Metals Inc. kicked off the second phase of drilling at its Iron Point project in Nevada, to further define vanadium mineralization.
The program will include 49 holes covering about 10,000 meters to infill previously defined zones of vanadium mineralization and test lateral and downward extensions of the zones.
The drilling will also provide sample material for the next phase of metallurgical test work, the company said May 27.
The first phase of drilling discovered a new high grade zone, outlined significantly higher vanadium concentrations compared to historical drilling, and indicated potential to expand mineralization with step out drilling particularly in the north-south direction.
The property's size increased to 690 claims for 13,300 acres following a recent addition of claims based on the continuing footprint expansion of vanadium mineralization and a review of additional target areas.
