Era Resources Inc. expanded and updated the resource estimate for its Yandera project in Papua New Guinea to measured and indicated resources of 728.6 million tonnes at 0.39% copper equivalent grading for 2.8 million contained copper equivalent tonnes.
The measured and indicated resource contains grading 0.33% copper, 0.01% molybdenum and 0.10 parts per million gold for contained metal totaling 2.4 million tonnes of copper, 72,000 tonnes of molybdenum and 1.6 million ounces of gold.
Inferred resources at the project total 230.6 million tonnes grading 0.29% copper, 0.00% molybdenum and 0.04 ppm of gold, or 0.32% copper equivalent, according to a Dec. 18 release.
Contained resources in the inferred category stand at 738,000 copper equivalent tonnes, 671,000 tonnes of copper, 11,000 tonnes of molybdenum and 264,000 ounces of gold.
In May 2015, the company estimated, at a cutoff of 0.15% copper equivalent, measured and indicated resources at the Yandera project containing 2.1 million tonnes of copper, 62,000 tonnes of molybdenum and 1.4 million ounces of gold within 630.1 million tonnes grading 0.33% copper, 0.01% molybdenum and 0.071 ppm of gold.
Inferred resources contained 348,000 tonnes of copper, 6,000 tonnes of molybdenum and 195,000 ounces of gold within 117.5 million tonnes grading 0.30% copper, 0.005% molybdenum and 0.052 ppm of gold.
