HeronResources Ltd. said July 7 that it has started its 2,500-meterdiamond drilling program at its wholly owned Woodlawn zinc-copper project in New SouthWales.
Following the completion of the feasibility study, thecompany started drilling on July 5 targeting northern extensions to the knownmassive sulfide lens system.
The estimation of the mineral reserves along with theresultant strong development case allowed Heron to shift from resourcedefinition to discovery target testing, primarily focusing on a strikeextension of the 4.8-million-tonne B Lens and the secondary targets being theextensions to the 1.3-million-tonne D Lens and 500,000-tonne I Lens.
The drilling program will use down-hole electromagneticgeophysical survey to follow up on the initial drilling campaign. The companywill also drill on the known limits of the recently discovered Lisa Lens.
