Louisiana-based Bank of Montgomery's branch buy gets state regulator's approval

The Louisiana Office of Financial Institutions on Sept. 13 approved Bank of Montgomery's application to acquire Lafayette, La.-based MidSouth Bancorp Inc.'s two branches.

The branches are at 3412 Mac Lee St. and 1423 Wimbledon Dr., both in Alexandria, La. The purchase includes around $28 million in deposits and approximately $18 million in loans associated with the branches.

Bank of Montgomery is a unit of Grant Bancshares Inc.
