Regal Holding Q3 profit falls YOY

Regal Holding Co. Ltd. said its third-quarter normalized net income came to 40 Taiwan cents per share, a decline of 84.5% from NT$2.57 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$12.9 million, a decrease of 85.0% from NT$85.6 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 3.3% from 11.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined 46.6% year over year to NT$393.1 million from NT$735.6 million, and total operating expenses declined 39.9% on an annual basis to NT$354.0 million from NT$589.0 million.

Reported net income decreased 84.6% year over year to NT$14.8 million, or 46 cents per share, from NT$96.2 million, or NT$2.89 per share.

As of Dec. 15, US$1 was equivalent to NT$31.90.
