Amazon.com Inc. said May 26 that it plans to open its first fulfillment center in Oklahoma.
The facility will be located in Oklahoma City and will have a total area of more than 600,000 square feet.
Amazon said that employees at the planned site will pick, pack and ship small items like books, household items and toys to customers. The company expects the center to generate 1,500 full-time jobs by the end of 2019.
