Snapchat revealed its first hardware product,Spectacles, The Wall Street Journalreported.
The product resembles a pair of sunglasses and records up to10 seconds of video at the push of a button. It was unveiled by CEO EvanSpiegel at an event in Venice, Calif. The company also recently changed itsname to Snap Inc., the Journal noted.
A limited supply of the wearable gadget with a built-incamera will be available for sale in the fall, priced at $129.99 apiece,Bloomberg News reported, citing a company spokeswoman.
The product is the messaging app's first venture intoconsumer electronics, and resembles Alphabet Inc.'s Google Glass, the news outlet said.
