India's SMS Pharmaceuticals Ltd. said June 15 that Mihir Chaudhuri resigned as an independent director due to other commitments.

Chaudhuri said his workload as an adviser to the Department of Education of India's Assam state has led him to step down.

SMS Pharmaceuticals manufactures and sells active pharmaceutical ingredients and intermediates in India and internationally.
