State Street Global Advisors appointed Alex Sun managing director and head of China, Pensions & Investments reported March 13, citing an email from the asset manager.

Sun will also serve as head of SSGA's wholly foreign-owned investment management enterprise that was established in December 2018.

Sun has been an assistant general manager with HSBC Jintrust, HSBC Global Asset Management's joint venture on the Chinese mainland.

State Street Global Advisors is the investment management division of State Street Corp.
