Bank of Ceylon gets 4 new directors

Sri Lanka's minister of finance, economy and policy development appointed four directors to Bank of Ceylon's board.

The minister named P. Lalith, P. Withana, G. Harsha Wijayawardhana and Hasitha Premaratne as nonexecutive directors of the bank, effective Jan. 14.

Withana currently serves as CEO at Sri Lankan Catering Ltd., while Wijayawardhana is an IT consultant with more than 20 years' experience. Premaratne serves as group finance director at Brandix Group.

In addition, the minister appointed Visakha Amarasekere as a nonexecutive ex-officio director of the bank, effective Jan. 11. She is a director of the department of external resources of the general treasury of the Ministry of Finance, Economy and Policy Development.
