Bank of China International appoints investment banking head

Bank of China Ltd.unit Bank of China International Ltd.appointed Daniel Ng as head of its investment banking division, FinanceAsia reported May 10, citing "twopeople familiar with the matter."

Ng joined the company in April, replacing Li Xin, who had steppeddown from the role, the sources said. He was previously head of investment bankingand deputy CEO of China MerchantsSecurities (HK) Co. Ltd.

A spokesperson for Bank of China International confirmed thatNg had joined the company, but declined to provide details about his position.

Meanwhile, Li plans to join Everbright Securities International,a Hong Kong-based unit of EverbrightSecurities Co. Ltd., another source said.
