Nordea announces changes to strengthen its risk and compliance structure

Finland-based Nordea Bank Abp said Dec. 13 it will restructure its risk and compliance units by consolidating resources.

Julie Galbo, former chief risk officer at Nordea, will lead the new group business risk management unit, composed of group credit risk management, group financial crime prevention, global business risk implementation and support, and the chief security office.

Matthew Elderfield, chief risk officer at Nordea, will lead the new group risk and compliance unit.

Galbo and Elderfield will continue as members of the lender's group executive management.
