Scientific Games Corp. said Oct. 9 that it agreed to acquire U.S.-based sports betting data provider Don Best Sports Corp. and DBS Canada Corp. for an undisclosed sum.

The proposed deal would see Scientific Games make Don Best part of its SG Digital division, which operates the OpenBet sportsbook platform. The Las Vegas-based gaming product and services provider said it plans to leverage the acquisition to expand its business-to-business sports betting offerings.

The deal is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter, subject to customary closing conditions.
