Kenya shortlists potential buyers of Imperial Bank shares

The Central Bank of Kenya has come up with a shortlist of potential buyers of shares in Imperial Bank Ltd., which has been under receivership since October 2015.

The regulator said Oct. 13 that it received three responses to its invitation for potential buyers to express interest in the lender by a Sept. 29 deadline.

Shortlisted investors have until 5 p.m. East African time on Jan. 15, 2018, to submit formal proposals.
