Robeco Groep names president, representative director for Japan

Robeco Groep NV named Shiro Tsubota president and representative director for Japan, effective immediately.

Tsubota, who previously served as CEO for Henderson Global Investors Japan for five years, will focus on expanding the Dutch firm's business in Japan and continue to offer investment strategies, including quant, sustainability investing, credit, global and emerging markets equities, to Japanese investors.

Tsubota will report to Graham Elliot, managing director and head of Asia-Pacific distribution, and will replace Kikuo Kuroiwa, who will leave once the smooth management transition has been completed, according to the company's July 31 statement.
