Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Holdings Inc. said that it completed the repurchase of its own shares after buying back all the shares it had planned to.
The company said it bought back a total of 2 million of its own shares for ¥8.14 billion.
In July, the company's board resolved to repurchase up to 2 million of its own shares for up to ¥9 billion from July 28 to Aug. 31.
As of Aug. 4, US$1 was equivalent to ¥110.87.
