Anadarko shuffles leadership structure

Anadarko Petroleum Corp. made a number of changes to its leadership structure to consolidate responsibilities across the company's operations.

The company named Danny Brown as its new executive vice president for U.S. onshore operations, where he will be in charge of upstream and midstream activity in Colorado, Texas, Utah and Wyoming. Brown was previously the executive vice president for international and deepwater operations.

Mitch Ingram was appointed the executive vice president for international and deepwater operations, replacing Brown, as well as for project management. Ingram's responsibilities will include development and production activities in Algeria, Ghana, the Gulf of Mexico and Mozambique. He was formerly the executive vice president for global LNG.

Ernie Leyendecker, who previously served as the executive vice president for international and deepwater exploration, has been named executive vice president for exploration. The new position combines Levendecker's previous responsibilities for worldwide exploration efforts with U.S. onshore exploration. He will replace Brad Holly, who held the position of executive vice president for U.S. onshore exploration and production. Holly has resigned from the company.

"Anadarko will continue to direct most of its investing toward our short- and intermediate-cash-cycling opportunities in the U.S. onshore and tieback opportunities in the Gulf of Mexico, while continuing to build longer-term value through our emerging LNG business and selective deepwater exploration," said Anadarko Chairman, President and CEO Al Walker.
